Business Manager Position

Beverly Montessori School seeks to fulfill a business manager position.  This position is a 9-month position, 30-40 hours per week and a commitment to 4-8 hours per week during the summer months of June, July, and August.  The business manager is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the school, including all accounting duties and working directly with the Head of School in developing and monitoring the annual budget.


Essential responsibilities include the following:

  • To effectively communicate with administration, staff members, parents, and community members for the purpose of conveying and/or receiving information
  • To help maintain an office environment that serves as an information center for interested persons, parents, and staff
  • To oversee accounts payable and receivable, including tuition and fees
  • To administer employee benefits programs, payroll, and personnel policies and to do so with the sensitivity to the confidential nature of this information and the employees’ right to privacy
  • To compile and organize data for students’ records, enrollment, and budget reports
  • To assist in the general management of the school

Preferred Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including a high level of proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Experience with Quick Books, Quick Books Payroll, FACTS management system is a plus!
  • A warm/welcoming personality to greet visitors, parents, and staff
