Children can attend either morning (AM) or afternoon (PM) classes at our school.  The five-day program is the preferred program for children three years of age by September 1st through kindergarten.  It provides continuity and routine for young children and the security of belonging to their own stable community.  Ideally, the child would stay within this community from ages 3 through 6.  Our policy is that once a child is enrolled in a class, we do not change the child to another classroom or session unless it is for the benefit of the child.  This ensures the stability and continuity for the young child that we feel is important.

The morning session begins at 8:30; the afternoon session begins at 12:30.  Children select individual or small group work for most of the session and then they gather on the "line" for group activities and to prepare for dismissal at 11:30 for the AM and 3:30 for the PM.  Snack is served on an individual basis throughout the session.  Children wash their hands and then serve themselves from the snack table and sit down with friends to enjoy a social interlude.
